Dear Amy:
Once a first lady, always a first lady. Tuesday’s fourth annual National Alzheimer’s Gala featured a trio of golden girls (natural or expensive highlights) who teamed up for the mega-buck fundraiser. “All these beautiful blondes,” said philanthropist George Vradenburg, who co-chaired the fundraiser with wife Trish.
Dear Amy:
Forgive the folks at the downtown JW Marriott if they’ve gone a little Hoya-mad — decorating the hotel lounge in Georgetown banners and pennants, and serving a menu of “Hoya dogs,” bright blue Hoya martinis (bartender won’t say what’s in them) and “Final Four” burgers. You see, it turns out that the father of junior forward Jeff Green works there.

No wonder Mayor Adrian Fenty went into politics — the man just loves to run. Early last week, he breezed through the St. Patrick’s Day 8K. Then on Saturday he lined up for the Wirefly National Marathon, planning to run just half — but went ahead and completed the entire 26-mile race, clocking in at a respectable 4 hours 8 minutes. (Which is quicker than it took a lot of traffic-jammed motorists to get across town.) This weekend, he’ll race in the Cherry Blossom 10-miler.
