50 Cent vs. Kanye West–It’s Going Down Sept. 11th
Well-known for their competitive attitudes toward each other, rappers 50 Cent and Kanye West will be facing off on September 11th, when each releases his latest album. And to raise the stakes, Fitty has decided to retire his rapping career as a performer, should he fail in his goal sell more albums than Kanye. The rapper told the New York Daily News of the self-imposed ultimatum.
“Let’s raise the stakes,” said the Queens-born rapper, whose given name is Curtis Jackson 3rd. “If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer [perform] music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out any more solo albums.”
I kind of wish that John Mayer and James Blunt would have this kind of a show-down. And then somehow, they’d both lose and then neither one of them could perform again. Or date starlets.
