The kid that Akon catapulted off his stage has been located. Akon’s legal representation say that he’s in the clear. Just like the time my co-worker threw a paperclip at me and I smashed her through a plate glass window. I didn’t do anything wrong. Shut up, she got me in the eye!

An attorney for Akon has released a statement on behalf his client that claims the singer did not engage in criminal conduct when he hoisted a KFEST concertgoer on his shoulders Sunday and hurled him off a stage.

Fishkill police today identified the KFEST concertgoer tossed off the stage by Akon as a 15-year-old resident of Harriman, Orange County, Detective Lt. John Berlingieri said.

Fishkill police know the teen’s name, but would not release that information. On Sunday at Dutchess Stadium, during a concert staged by Fishkill-based WSPK (104.7 FM), the 15-year-old was plucked from the crowd by a security guard, hoisted in the air by Akon and hurled back into the crowd.

The kid would need to press charges for anything to actually happen. This is America, so I wouldn’t be shocked if he did. Not that he shouldn’t. Sources say he tossed a “black disk” at Akon. I hope it was a hockey puck, otherwise Akon’s a douche nozzle.
