Britney Spears seems to actually trying to make this comeback happen. And the latest step she's taken has been to vamp up her website with a topless pic of her sporting her finest bob wig and some white gloves and the following message for her fans:

"The reason for this letter is to let everyone know that their prayers have truly helped me. I am so blessed that you care enough about me to be concerned and will continue to live in this brighter state with all of you by my side during this trying time. We are all lights of the world and we all need to continuously inspire others and look to the higher power. You are all in my prayers. Godspeed.

Love, Britney"

She may in fact be topless in this pic, but it sure beats the hell out of the over-accessorizing she's into lately, as evidenced by the rest of the pix in this post. Oh, who am I kidding? I totally love her "Paris-Hilton-as-a-cowgirl" costume she's rocking at the moment. It's so retro--so "The Simple Life 2."
