Someone’s getting some new jewelry! Eve has pleaded no contest to driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. She will have to wear an alcohol-detecting ankle bracelet for 45 days.

The rapper-actress was not in Superior Court when her attorney entered the plea to a single misdemeanor count. Under the plea agreement, a second count of driving under the influence was dropped.

Eve, whose real name is Eve Jihan Jeffers, was arrested early April 26 after her gold Maserati struck a center median on Hollywood Boulevard.

Also, besides having to wear the monitoring device, she has to attend 10 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and a three-month alcohol education program for first-time offenders.

She must appear personally in court on July 20 to show proof that she has enrolled in the alcohol program and is hooked up to the monitor, said Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city attorney’s office.

Eve is going to have to scale back on the partying for a little while.

Eve, whose full name is Eve Jihan Jeffers, wasn’t injured in the crash, but she was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence after failing a Breathalyzer test administered at the scene, police said. She was taken into custody and, after receiving a visit from pal Sean Penn, was released after posting $30,000 bail.

While the 28-year-old Barbershop actress has now pleaded innocent to charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 or above and failing to provide proof of insurance (a vehicular code infraction), she is facing a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted

How do you dispute the Breathlyzer? Can they be faulty? Is there a conspiracy? Her minimum sentence would be three years probation and having to take one of those useless booze classes if she’s found guilty. And by the way? Gold Maserati? Tacky.

Rapperista Eve says that there’s no funny business between herself and married actor Sean Penn, even though he showed up in the middle of the night to “see how Eve was doing” when she got popped for DUI late last month.

Hip-hop authority SOHH.com talked to Eve exclusively, and she told them that any speculation about her and Penn’s relationship is just that — speculation. “There’s no craziness going on. I’ve known him for years,” says Eve. “We got mutual friends. He saw what was happening and he just wanted to make sure I was cool.”

Apparently, he also offered to pay her 30K bail, which she was all set with. This doesn’t shock me. Though Sean’s kinda humorless and intense - he also seems to genuinely want to help a bitch out. Remember during Katrina when he got his own rowboat and went in search of people to rescue? He’s also one helluva an actor. I’m not up his ass or anything but he’s a lot easier to tolerate than some of these other freaks.
