I hearts my Gwen. I know Jay Harvey and I stand on two different sides of the Stefani fence, but our love for one another bridges that gap. And here she is, looking cute per usual, with her little munchkin in one arm, as she signs autographs with another. Loves it. However, Gwen’s not feeling quite as gracious towards Forever 21, whom she claims is ripping off her Harajuku Lovers logo and using the likeness to sell their knock-off clothes. That said, the argument could also be made that Gwen herself is doing a little knocking off of the entire Harajuku movement itself and then the question remains as to where the line between inspiration and downright stealing needs to be drawn. Which, of course means that eventually, I’m going to get caught for basically doing a poor man’s version of Tina Fey-meets-Sarah Silverman-meets-my mother. Sigh. It’s only a matter of time…

My girl, Gwen, was a big hit on Wednesday at New York’s Fashion Week. The pop star turned fashion designer was given a standing ovation for her L.A.M.B. show from an audience that included actress Sophia Bush, Eve, and the epitome of a successful multi-hyphenate entrepreneur, P. Diddy. Gwen was looking like she’s completely back to her fighting weight, sporting some very toned legs in a black and white sheath dress and appeared to be tearing up at the response she got from the crowd. Hubby, Gavin Rossdale was also present with Gwen, along with their son, Kingston, to support her from the sidelines. And they also provided some inspiration for her fashion line, with Gwen featuring a pair of platform shoes entitled, “the Kingston,” sporting her trademark green, yellow and black colors. Aww, I heart me some Gwen. I can’t wait until two seasons from now, when I can possibly find this stuff on sale somewhere.

You can’t blame them, “The Sweet Escape” is the most painful song ever recorded. No other song can make you want to Van Gogh your ears like that one. Malaysian student groups are protesting Gwen’s upcoming show in their country because she brings “moral decay”. Granted, the Harajuku Girls seemed a little politically incorrect, but damn it’s not like she’s Britney.

“Her video clips promoting the event are too obscene,” Mohamad Hilmi Ramli, president of the National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students, told Reuters. “We want the organizers to cancel the concert, failing which we will ask the authorities to intervene.”

“[Malaysian mobile phone company Maxis Communications] has been staging a series of foreign acts…to make a profit and to expose our young generation to things such as moral decay,” Ramli added.

Her concert at Malaysia’s Putra Indoor Stadium could draw over 9,000 people to decay morally. He seems tense. Do the clips include her starring in a donkey show or something? Or is it the usual commercial for L.A.M.B. and her acting vacant and snotty and like someone you’d never want to speak to? Oh, and in bed, I bet. She’s in bed all the time in her clips. Lazy bitch. Work for your money!

Forever 21 is up the creek without a paddle, life jacket or one of those bright orange blow-up rescue boats. Gwen and her L.A.M.B and Harajuku Lovers lines claim that the retail chain have ripped off her designs without shame. But this isn’t the first time that Forever 21 helped themselves to copying clothing. Diane von Furstenberg laid down the thunder when some “fabric copyright issues” became a problem.

Gwen’s lawsuit itself states several complaints highlighting the “Heart/Box ” trademark was blatantly copied with only minor changes made. Go Gwen! Bust out them Godzilla acrylics and scratch their eyes out.

Damn her. I was totally thinking that the reason I was feeling bloated is because I’m about to start menstruating. And here this woman is, flaunting a taut belly after HAVING A BABY. As if my uterus weren’t already displaying inexplicable pangs of envy, now here I am, having to deal with my abdominal muscles. Oh, the pressures to be thin in the fast-paced word of gossip blogging! It’s driving me to distraction! And, were I a more committed individual with a shred of discipline, possibly an eating disorder! Again, my sloth has saved me from a horrible fate. Whew.

In any case, when the pop star mama isn’t at home doing crunches, she’s working on promoting her new fragrance, L.A.M.B., whose slogan states, “I want you all over me.” Stefani told Entertainment Tonight that she was excited about her latest foray into the world of retail.

“Every designer basically fantasizes about a fragrance being part of their collection,” Gwen tells us. “Basically, it’s another thing to put on in the morning.”

Basically, it’s another thing I won’t bother putting on unless I have to stumble out of my apartment and interact with other human beings. But still, yay Gwen!

With Gwen Stefani off making her second solo album, the remaining members of No Doubt have been dutifully preparing for her return to the band by coming up with tracks for her to animate with her signature vocals. However, guitarist Tom Dumont cautions that at the rate everyone’s busy schedules are going, No Doubt probably won’t be ready to come out with a new album until at least late 2008.

“Tony, Adrian and I have been busy preparing material for the album since this time last year,” he wrote in an e-mail to MTV News. “So we have a lot of instrumentals looking for words.”

Sorry if you’re not a No Doubt fan, but I am and so…YAY!

I can’t believe that Kingston is one year old! Gwen wouldn’t be a celebrity if she didn’t throw a party to celebrate the little tykes birthday. However, since she’s such a grounded celebrity, it wasn’t over the top. Gwen, Gavin and Kingston went to Otto to celebrate.

On the way to the restaurant she stopped off at a store to buy a t-shirt that read: “Vote 4 Smile - Good Life Begins At 1!”

One onlooker said: “They all looked so cute and happy together.

“Gwen made sue she really went out of her way to give him a great birthday - and he looked like he loved it.”

That’s such a cute photo of the three of them. Love it.
