Social Events of The Week

One of the chicks from “Grey’s Anatomy” got hitched over the weekend. She looks like she’s very happy. We’re supposed to care about her because she’s got that spin-off she’s starring in with Tim Daley. Has Tim Daley been in a successful show since that one at the airport? He’s a show-killer! Does this chick know this? I woulda hit up Shonda Rhimes for casting approval. See, I don’t watch the show but I know the players!

The wedding took place on Saturday, September 1, at the Ojai Presbyterian Church in Ojai, CA. A reception followed at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa.

Walsh’s Grey’s Anatomy co-stars, including Katherine Heigl and fiance Josh Kelley, T.R. Knight, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Justin Chambers and his wife Keisha as well as the show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, were all in attendance.

Oh and by the way? These two crazy kids were engaged after a month of dating. Uh, holy shite? That’s not logical. I know love is blind and shit but what happens when she finds that body in the closet or he starts “borrowing” her ATM card? He could be anyone and now he has future access to “half” if things go tits up. Wake up, bitch!

Kate Walsh’s character, Dr. Addison Forbes, has graduated from “Grey’s Anatomy” to her own show “Private Practice”. What was she like on “Grey’s”? Is her character interesting? Because the following story isn’t. She’s getting married and she didn’t like her bar. I’m not sure i even need to put some text in block quotes to relay what went on. She got in front of the mirror and her bra didn’t go with her wedding dress or something. So she cried. You know when you’re a bride and you should cry? When your groom bangs the maid of honor around the corner of the reception area. OR when your mother-in-law wears all black including a black veil over her face to the wedding. Both true stories. THOSE are crying moments. Just switch your bra up. I hope this show has better writers. But, here goes:

“I had a fitting a couple of days ago … and who knew someone could get so hysterical about a bra,” she says. “I was, ‘It’s not the right bra. It’s not the bra.’ The sad part was there was a mirror there, so I had to see the whole thing. My face turned to stone — and then snakes — and then it was bad. I can’t believe I had a meltdown over a bra!”

Stone and snakes? Did Perseus then cut her head off? Damn! She’s marrying fiance Alex Young in southern Cali this weekend. Good luck, doctor lady. Hope the bra thing worked out.

Everything’s coming up Kate Walsh these days. The “Grey’s Anatomy” star stepped out three weeks ago at a campaign fund-raiser for Barack Obama with her boyfriend, Alex Young, and it was the first public admission of their status as a couple. And now, Walsh has said that Young, a 20th Century Fox studio exec, popped the question last week in San Francisco.

“It happened a few days ago,” Walsh said of her engagement to Alex Young, a studio executive. “I’m on cloud nine.”

As much as I do love me some Kate Walsh, I really hope that now with her new show, and planning of her wedding, she’ll be too busy to do any more of this weirdness.
