Michelle Pfeiffer Thinks I Should Be Content with My Two Boring Eyes

During the promotion of her latest film, “Stardust,” in which she portrays an aging hag hoping to find the secret of eternal youth, Michelle Pfeiffer talked to the press in London about her thoughts on aging and plastic surgery in Hollywood. Pfeiffer doesn’t see nothing wrong with a little nip and tuck here and there, but thinks that more and more people are going overboard in their attempts to alter their appearance.

“I think people have lost sight in some ways of what is beautiful, and sometimes I see people, and I’m not really sure what’s strange about them, but it’s becoming less and less obvious what is strange about them because our sense of what is normal is disappearing.”

Normal, schmormal. I want to be amazing. And the only way to achieve that is getting that third eye I’ve been dreaming about since I was a child. Don’t judge me.

OK, now this is such an “it’s about time” case of someone getting a Hollywood star on the Walk of Fame. Michelle Pfeiffer, who has been nominated three times for an Academy Awards and starred in countless classic films over her career that spans nearly thirty years is finally being honored for for her acting credits with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. For God’s sake, the woman was in “Scarface” and is actually getting her star AFTER the Olsen twins and Sean “I Used to Bang JLO” Combs. What’s an actress got to do to get her due? Face off with Coolio? Well, guess what? She already has, America. She already has.

Sunday night, the stars of “Stardust” hit up Paramount Studios to celebrate the open of their film. Michelle Pfeiffer plays a haggard witch in the movie, whose obsession to obtain the secret of eternal youth has her hunting down the fallen star, Claire Danes. Danes chatted with USA Today at the premiere on the subject of growing old in front of the lens in this youth-obsessed entertainment industry.

“I understand the anxiety of aging,” said Danes. “It seems like death is avoidable via Botox. And if youth means looking like Michelle Pfeiffer, who wouldn’t want to hold onto that?”

Yeah, screw aging. That’s for old people. I’m not even going to mess around with Botox. I want young, beautiful, Asian babies injected straight into my face. Actually, I’ve sort of been doing that since I was fourteen years old. It’s all about prevention.
