Rosie Continues To Dislike Elisabeth Hasselbeck; Deluded Hasselbeck Remains Optimistic

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Apparently unaccustomed to rejection, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is like the awkward ex who just can’t admit that things aren’t working out.
You know the type. At first, you tried to let her down easy, saying things like, ‘you’re a great person but I just don’t think we have that much in common.’ When that didn’t work, […]

Rosie O’Donnell on Poem Overdrive

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

rosie_liz_053007.jpg

Rosie O’Donnell recently emailed CBS’ “The ShowBuzz” in poem form, explaining how she has picked up crafting as a way to express the frustrations she feels as a result of her on-air spat on “The View” with Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

sometimes
when the words become too incendiary
as they come from me

i look to images
what i feel
part here
there
this that
sewn together
taped
stapled

something out of nothing

scraps
what is already done
becomes somehow new
and old
at once

a memory

There are a number of things that I love about this situation:

1) She’s answering emails in poem form, which I imagine makes her correspondence look like a really long quote included in her signature block.

2) She’s crafting. I have a feeling there’s an angry patchwork quilt with baby doll heads sewn to it with Elisabeth’s name on it. Well, it’s not so much that I have a feeling as much as that I’m trying to will it so.

Rosie on “Nuclear Wednesday”

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Not to judge a girl when she’s sitting at her computer in her free time, but DANG, I thought I looked rough when I typed out my blog posts. At least if I know I’m going to have to video-chat with people online (i.e., have the closest thing I get to human contact), I throw my greasy mane up in a ponytail and quickly flick my eye-boogers away. But, I digress…

In a recent video on her website, Rosie enjoyed a Brewski, whilst chatting about “Nuclear Wednesday,” the name for her on-screen verbal altercation on “The View” with Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Except, if you were George W., I guess you might call it “Nucular Wednesday.” In any case, Rosie said that she felt like a “foster child” on “The View,” never quite fitting in with the panel, and that her leaving was inevitable. She also didn’t make it sound like a friendship with Hasselbeck was anything more than a remote possibility, despite Elisabeth’s earlier insinuations to the contrary.

How awesome would it be if Elisabeth delivered a video response to this, while sitting in front of her computer, wearing a white t-shirt with “WAR” written on it in black letters? Come on, ladies, let’s take this feud to the Internet, where it belongs!

Rosie’s Got A Brand New Blog Entry

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

If you thought Rosie was really, truly gone, then you’ve clearly underestimated her. Over the holiday weekend, the former View co-host posted a video of herself speaking out on her battle royale with Hasselbeck (apparently, when she first saw the split-screen she “knew it was all over,”) clearing up the truth about fired writer Janette […]

Rosie Quit Early

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

Rosie 052307Rosie ain’t coming back . Damn, don’t let that stupid bim win! Get over it! Represent! This is such a stupid-ass fight. Is this a playground?

Brian Frons, President of ABC Daytime, issued the following statement:

“We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to ‘The View’ and wish her well.”

And Ro had this to say:

“I’m extremely grateful. It’s been an amazing year and I love all three women.”

Three? Yeah right. Joy Behar’s probably siked she can be the sole loudmouth bitch on the show. You know she orchestrated this whole mess. I don’t trust her as far as I can throw her and with your bad knee, Ed that isn’t very far.

Breaking: Rosie Quits The View

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

Rosie O’Donnell has never been known for her patience, grace under fire, or her slim physique inability to hold a grudge.
And now, only days after her hot-tempered performance on The View, ABC has announced that Rosie has made Elisabeth Hasselbeck cry for the very last time.
ABC president released the following statement, (via TMZ):
We had hoped […]

Hey, Remember When Rosie and Elisabeth Threw Down?

Friday, May 25th, 2007

You know, like a million years ago? I know, I know, it’s been a hot second since we were excitedly analyzing and reporting how Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck got into a very heated discussion earlier this week, that has since been dissected and been damage-controlled (Yes, I just verbed that. And, I’m verbing some more, apparently…) into near oblivion. But, much like the conspiracy theorists who enjoy watching JFK assassination footage over and over and over again, we’ve found a new aspect about the blow-up to touch upon.

As you may or may not have already noticed, Alicia Silverstone, the guest who appeared to greet “The View” ladies immediately following the Rosie vs. Elisabeth spat, very obviously declined to hug Elisabeth upon taking her seat among them on the couch. I’m guessing it’s because she hadn’t yet watched this.

Jossip Juxtaposition

Friday, May 25th, 2007

• “Yesterday, Rosie [O’Donnell]’s chief writer, Janette Barber, was allegedly escorted from the building after she was caught drawing moustaches on photographs of [Elisabeth] Hasselbeck that hang in the “View” studios.”
• Jessica Simpson totally ‘freaks out’ Leonardo DiCaprio by stalking him at Hotel Du Cap on Saturday night.
• Meanwhile, in other celebrity stakeout news, “Mrs. […]

No Awesome Fight to Report from Wednesday’s Episode of “The View”

[WENN]

In case you happened to watch “The View” yesterday, you’ll notice that it was missing something. Namely, Rosie O’Donnell. As we mentioned earlier in the week, Ro (as she’s programmed on our speed-dial), had already planned to be out of the office for her partner’s 40th birthday and was nowhere to be seen on “The View.” Instead, a very diplomatic and utterly charming (yet decidedly NOT antagonistic) Kathy Griffin filled in for O’Donnell. And although she looked like she did an extremely good job making light of the whole debacle, the problem is that I’m like a shark that’s already smelled some blood. And yeah, I’m hungry for some more. I want these chicks to go at it, West Side Story-style! Unfortunately, it’s not yet clear if I’ll get my wish anytime soon, according to a Thursday AM post from TMZ.

Still, as of this morning, all Rosie was sayin’ was that she didn’t know when she’d be back — if at all, according to her blog. And, more officially, Babwa called any suggestion that yesterday’s fight was scripted “ridiculous.”

If only there were a way to get Star Jones back into the mix, not that her frail little bobble-head would stand a fighting chance anymore…
