Star Jones Continues To Embrace Her New Lover - THE TRUTH!

Star Jones spoke with Diane Sawyer this morning. She opened up more about her weight loss surgery, and why she lied about having it initially. This story is lukewarm, and would be more interesting if she talked about her husband. Because I would bet my left teste that he’s into dudes and she’s in for a boatload of heartache unless she has some kind of “arrangement”.

Reynolds, 45, whose new show Star Jones premieres on Court TV on Monday, credits therapy with pushing her to come clean. She also confessed that she had a breast lift and skin removed from her stomach.

Why didn’t she reveal the truth earlier? “[I was] scared out of my mind,” she says. “I was ashamed, I was fearful, I was hurt. So I said ‘medical intervention,’ which was the truth, but it wasn’t the full truth. It would have been so much easier to simply say I had this weight loss surgery, but I couldn’t do it.”

The former View cohost said that she had hoped she could simply avoid the subject.

“I somehow thought I could just say ‘I am going to be private with that,’” she said. “Because I knew I would never lie.”

Oh, I think you know all about lies, Star. Like the lies that we tell our hearts. Or the ones we tell our wives. Ones like “no, that’s my trainer and he was helping me with squats” and “your shoes must be stretched out because of your corns, baby”.

No, she ain’t droppin’ Al. She’s finally admitting that she had a gastric bypass. Duh. What’s the big deal? It was either that or she had some sort of radioactive tapeworm stealing all her food. Anyway, she says she lied because she was..oh sorry, she didn’t lie. She was “intentionally evasive”. She said she had a “medical intervention”. She should have had a “beard intervention”. That dude is gay! Anyway, she wrote an essay for “Glamour” magazine about her “evasiveness”.

As for why she wasn’t forthcoming about her operation earlier, Star has a list of reasons, including her fear that it wouldn’t work and that she wouldn’t be able to lose weight, but, mainly, she says, because she was afraid of what people would think of her.

“I was afraid to be vulnerable, and ashamed at not being able to get myself under control without this procedure,” she writes in the magazine.

F*ck what people say! You live your own life, Starina! People are just haters! Have soup for the rest of your life and hang out with your gay guy! It’s America!

Star Jones Opens Up about Her Weight, Offers Invite to Rosie

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

With the premiere of her Court TV show right around the corner, Star Jones-Reynolds is doing the rounds to try and drum up some publicity for the show. First off, she’s written an article for Glamour magazine, delving into the subject of her extreme weight loss.

“I wrote an article because I really wanted to go as in-depth as possible about the way I’ve changed physically over the last 10 years on the air.”

“And I thought that that would be the most effective way to answer everybody’s questions.”

Star’s show is described by Court TV as a forum for her to discuss topics pertaining to criminal justice and popular culture. In addition to her Glamour article, Star is also extending an invitation to Rosie O’Donnell to appear as a guest on her show.

“I don’t have any reason to not want to sit down and chat with her.”

“She’s smart, she’s funny, she’s in your face - that’s the kind of guest you want on the show.”

Now THAT sounds like a recipe for a show I might possibly watch. I’d really love for Rosie to show up with visual aids, this time including customized hand-puppets made in the likeness of her enemies. Seriously, feuds like hers should always be televised.

Star Jones Throws Husband A Birthday Party

Star Jones threw her gay husband a 37th birthday party in the Hamptons last Saturday. It was held at the Estate, which is some new private mansion in Southhampton. Look, a rat just crawled across my living room floor and is wrestling with a stale potato chip. *sigh* Southhampton. Anyway, Al made a speech:

Then he turned to his wife–”my everything,” the birthday boy called her. “You taught me how to love and how to be a better man,” he declared.

*snicker* Right. It gets better.

The revelry continued at Stereo by the Shore, the Hamptons outpost of the 29th Street nightclub, where Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds grooved to the smooth beats of renowned hip-hop D.J. Doug Grayson until 2:30 a.m. “They were cute and flirted with each other all night,” said the spy, adding they did a lot of heavy grinding on the dance floor, but “there wasn’t any canoodling.”

No canoodling? You don’t say!
