As you may or may not know, Tim Gunn has taken his “make it work” ethic into unsuspecting people’s homes and is utilizing the talents of his sidekick, Veronica Webb, to help these folks get their style on. In this sneak peek of tonight’s upcoming episode, we meet Jeanne, who is going to be taken out of her “plain Jane” comfort zone and whipped into shape by these fashionistas making a house call. Now, this is all well and good, but if Tim and Veronica show up inexplicably at my door one day, I’m totally kicking my boyfriend’s ass.

Here’s Tim Gunn baring his choppers and looking a little tipsy. “I love your handbag so much that I’m going to chew on it, darling!” The tall elegant Park Avenue lady that is Mr. Gunn has a new show that premieres Sept. 9 on Bravo. It’s called “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style”. Who gives a shit? What’s up with “Project Runway”? I need “Project Runway” like Amy Winehouse needs a rail to blow. Tim lets us in on how he felt about some of the past contestants and what this season is going to be like. I’m sweaty over this. Jesus, I love that show.

Us: Which Project Runway designer could most benefit from your fashion know-how?

TG: That’s a great question. God, I don’t know — maybe Diana Eng from season two. She’s our little math and science nerd and she kept saying that her own personal style wasn’t a priority for her, but if you’re going to be in fashion and especially if you’re going to be a designer, you’d better send a message about what you can do for your customer.

Bravo, one of my most Tivo-ed channels, has realized the power of Tim’s backhanded comments and ability to tell someone their tastes are dreadful by simply pulling his glasses down his nose an shaking his head. The network has convinced Tim to unleash his sense of style onto ” fashion-challenged women.”

“Each of the women I worked with discovered their own signature look, with a little coaching. We’re going to work with a subject each week. I serve as a kind of fashion therapist. What I want to leave behind is a lesson the person can use in daily life.” Gunn admitted.
