Here’s Victoria Beckham with designer Roberto Cavalli at the opening of his flagship store in Paris. Posh came straight from Madame Toussad’s, where they had just finished inflating her wax boobs to an even greater circumference. What gives with this one? Does she have some kind of disorder where she has to look more and more like something that’s confounding Mulder & Scully every time we see her? Are her children used to the feel of Teflon? How’s she going to tour with the Spice Girls when her home planet needs her to gather our world’s greatest natural resources to take back to her dying civilization? She doesn’t have time to learn choreography!

Victoria Beckham is so goofy and over-the-top when it comes to any and everything she does, is it any surprise that she actually seems to be dressed to match her blue Bentley, while taking it out to be customized? I can’t tell whether or not her initials were already embroidered into the car seats, but the fact that the procedure ever took place amuses me to no end. The only thing that I don’t seem to understand is that if she’s able to afford ridiculous customizations like the one I just mentioned, how is it that she doesn’t shell out some extra cash to make a car that actually fits her? Or maybe she likes driving around, looking like a strange baby alien with pursed lips.

Best Dressed Of The Week

Reveling the fancy pictures from New York Fashion Week has been pretty fun for us here at ASL, since you know we’re more picture people than “readers.” And the most recent batch of photos we have here are from Oscar de la Renta’s afternoon fashion show. A former church on Park Avenue was the venue, with a DJ and The Polyphonic Spree providing music for the event. Posh spice showed up, in her large-sunglassed, sun-tanned glory, trading her Los Angeles digs temporarily in favor of some east coast partying where a nipple slip and pantiless exploits are less likely to be taking place. Also present at the show was actress Amanda Peete, tennis star Roger Federer and the fashionable devil herself, Anna Wintour. Enjoy the pix while you can my friends, for Fashion Week is after all, only a week.

In reaction to her husband scoring his first goal for the LA Galaxy, Victoria Beckham very graciously cracked a slight smile, in contrast to the jumping, shouting and cheering taking place by everyone else around her. A nagging injury had kept David room from getting too much playing time on the field up until recently and his first goal was was made with a free kick and he was named captain for the match. From the Daily Mail:

A bored-looking Victoria clapped politely as David and his teammates wildly celebrated his first goal for the Los Angeles Major League Soccer Team which helped secure their place in the SuperLiga final.

Victoria’s blank reaction was in stark contrast to son Brooklyn, who grabbed hold of a pal to celebrate in typical football fanatic fashion.

I have a feeling that her “O face” is slightly more enthused. Living causes wrinkles, you know.

More Of David’s Odd Expressions After the Jump

Vicky Becks took the kiddies out to the L.A. Galaxy Football Club, and looked fantastic doing it. She’s so featherlight that her huge heels don’t create lawn jart holes in the grass. Did you know her kids are named Romeo, Cruz, and Brooklyn? Why are their children named like gigolos? Seriously.

In other Posh news, Donatella Versace has offered to design the costumes for the upcoming Spice Girls reunion tour. Prepare for clothes that you can tan to a fine leathery finish through, and plenty of pockets for packs of cigarettes, nips, and cocaine vials.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “Donatella was a big fan of the girls back in the day and as soon as she heard that a reunion was on the cards she submitted her ideas. There will be several different ‘looks’ for each of them and the clothes will be worth over £200,000.

In a statement, the girls quoted Posh and said this was “major”. MAY-JAH!

Vicky is like one tiny little British machine. Just after moving to LA the singer/fashionista/actress/designer/astronaut (it is only a matter of time) is ready to open her own boutique. After slowly building a Posh army consisting of Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria. Her idea for an apparel store would consist of her denim “dVb” line and accessories.

While setting up her own little regime on Melrose Ave, Becks is also set to be on “Ugly Betty.” Leaks of a “wedding themed show” will somehow involve Victoria.

Producer Marco Pennette enthuses, “There’s a wedding dress involved. There’s a wedding involved with her storyline.” Pennette joked, “But we want her husband (David) on set. It’s one of the requirements.”

I love Vic in a she-pays-my-bills sorta way. But if I were on the young hot Hollywood A-list right now….I would be wearing a foil hat around her. It’s like she gets in your head and brainwashes you into living on air and pudding pops. Then she adds your name to her financial backers list.

Football ace David didn’t crack a smile as he trailed wife Posh around an exclusive West Hollywood boutique so the designer clothes lover could stock up on yet more clothes.

Glum-looking David looked as if he’d rather be anywhere else but there, as he waited, arms folded, patiently for Posh to finish her shopping session.

However, he managed to raise a smile when the couple bumped into rapper and actress Queen Latifah. The self-professed fan of rap music who counts P-Diddy and Snoop Dogg among his friends was clearly chuffed to meet her royal rap highness.

So was Victoria by the look of it, who greeted the voluptuous star with the requisite LA air-kiss.
