Drew Carey clinched it! He’s the new host of “The Price Is Right”. Come on down! He beat out a ton o’ people like Rosie, George Hamilton, Ian Ziering, and that guy from “Seinfeld”.

Genial comic Drew Carey was tapped Monday to replace silver-haired legend Bob Barker on the CBS daytime game show “The Price is Right.” The deal was set Monday afternoon shortly before a taping of CBS’ “Late Show” with David Letterman, where he confirmed it.

“I realize what a big responsibility this is,” he said. “It’s only a game show, but it’s the longest-running game show in American television and I plan to keep it that way.”

Drew Carey is lovable chunk and should be a fine replacement for that silver fox Bob Barker. He will also be simultaneously hosting another game show for CBS called “The Power of 10″. They really want him wielding a microphone and hugging people. A lot of the ladies on “Price is Right” wear tight t-shirts and it’s very bouncy when they run down the aisle and then get on stage to hug the host. I think Drew’s down with that.
