Wouldn’t it be nice to have a party thrown for you to celebrate your appearance on a magazine cover? As long as it wasn’t a Newsweek cover for a story about how they found all those bodies in your basement or about how you bankrupted all those farmers or you were caught trying to get some dick in an airport bathroom and you’re a married, conservative, gay bashing, self-hating closeted senator, then definitely yes! Here’s pictures from the “L.A. Confidential” magazine pre-Emmy party celebrating Ellen Pompeo’s appearance on their cover last night. Some celebs showed up, and the sweaty gay from “Heroes” and is that a homeless person or Maria Conchita Alonso? All I know is, Eric Dane needs to drop the vehicular manslaughterer wife of his and call me. Hot damn. Why wasn’t she on the cover of Newsweek? Blood flows red on the highway when Rebecca Gayheart’s out and about. Seriously, ask her Dad:

On June 13, 2001, Gayheart struck and fatally injured nine-year-old Jorge Cruz Jr. as he crossed a Los Angeles-area street. According to the police report, the child was walking home from school and crossed the street. While several cars stopped to let him go, Gayheart swerved around them and into a two-way left-turn lane, striking the boy. Her attorney, Steven Lerman, subsequently admitted Gayheart had been using a cell phone during impact.

Later that year, she flipped a rental car into two parked cars with her father commenting that, “I’ve told my wife not to let her drive any more.”

How did that parking lot thing happen? Was she stunt-driving? Were there burning hoops set up and rednecks cheering? Crazy bitch. Oh yeah, congrats Ellen Pompeo!
