Fran Drescher celebrated being cancer free for seven years as well as the launch of her Cancer Schmancer organization at Sapa Restaurant. Fran scored a big coupe in snagging Angelina Jolie, who is going to appear in an upcoming publicity drive for the organization.

The comedienne says, “Angelina is supporting me on the movement. Her mother had women’s cancer that she died from and I’m a gynecologic cancer survivor and our organization is dedicated to ensure that all women’s cancers get diagnosed in stage one, when they’re most curable because early detection equals survival. So we’re gonna figure something out. We’re gonna do a PSA together.”

Obviously cancer is a cause that is very dear to Angelina Jolie’s heart, seeing that she just lost her mother to cancer a few months ago.
