Harry Potter Works His Box Office Magic

“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” took the weekend box office by storm, reportedly earning $77.4 million from Friday to Sunday. With “Transformers” and Harry Potter dominating movie ticket sales over the weekend, “Captivity” was left with a $1.5 million for its gross. The most recent Harry Potter film scored the highest 5-day earnings of any of the past films in the series, at a whopping $140 million, even though the weekend opening was actually the smallest of any of the films.
