While Jake here, looks straight into our souls, we can distract ourselves with the news that he plans on starring in a remake of the Danish war flick, “Brothers.” In the film, Gyllenhaal will be taking on the role of the younger brother, who cares for the wife and child of his older brother after the elder is sent to battle in Afghanistan. Tobey Maguire is slated to portray the character of the older brother. That seems like pretty ingenious casting to me, since I used to get the two of them confused in the past. Until Tobey developed a sometimes-pot-belly, that is. There’s nothing like a set of washboard abs to make sure I know who the heck you are.
