We’re not feeling this. Jimmy Fallon appears to be the top choice to take over for Conan O’Brien when he replaces that douche nozzle Jay Leno in 2009. Can someone explain the Jimmy Fallon mystique to me? Is he really funny? Is it because he’s decent-looking? Is it a Dane Cook thing? If you’re 1/2 way decent looking you only have to be sorta funny but people live and die by you? And that damn soda commerical he did with Parker Posey. I almost eschewed mixers all together because of that. I could have died from alcohol poisoning!

Fallon is NBC’s favorite to take over from O’Brien, who currently hosts Late Night With Conan O’Brien after The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

NBC late-night chief Rick Ludwin says he doesn’t expect to make an announcement until sometime after the first of the year, but he confirmed that Fallon is on the top of the network’s list.

He’s in that Vince Vaughn category. Possibly funny, but thinks he’s way funnier than he is. That lanky frat boy thing. Give it a rest and go back to doing cocaine in the bathroom stalls of East Village bars until the next bad SNL movie. Can Conan stay? Now, he’s funny.
