Katie Couric Isn’t Cutting It

(WENN)
I'm guessing perky doesn't translate when you're discussing the serious topics. CBS News has received their lowest Nielsen ratings since 1987 for their "Evening News" with Katie Couric at the helm. Ouch.
It surely wasn't what CBS dreamed about when Katie Couric was hired: the "CBS Evening News" last week recorded its smallest audience since 1987 and probably many years before that. It also didn't help that the average of 6.05 million viewers came at the beginning of the important May ratings "sweeps."Didn't she have once have an on-air colonoscopy or something to raise awareness after her husband passed away from colon cancer? Well, jesus, do that again! Those insides are sexy! She'd headed for Connie Chung-land it sounds like. I think she's probably better off in the morning.
