Just playin’ with that title. I liked when she outed Chanel for giving her ta-tas that she didn’t possess. Keira’s alright. Anyway, her new film is called “Atonement” and it’s getting rave reviews even before it’s released. It’s one of those Oscar buzzy ones. She stars with the goat boy from the Narnia flick. They have similar legs - slender and hooved but they can choke you with them! She’s in Venice, flogging it at their film festival.

Some of Britain’s hottest acting talents have been arriving in Venice for the city’s annual film festival, with Keira Knightley and James McAvoy leading the way. The in-demand duo’s latest film Atonement, directed by the man behind Pride And Prejudice Joe Wright, is opening the famously glamorous cinematic event, and is already generating Oscar buzz.

The pair star as class-divided lovers in the adaptation of Ian McEwan’s best-selling novel, and Keira’s performance in particular has received plaudits.

Also up in the hizzy were Vanessa Redgrave and her daughter Joely Richardson (”Nip/Tuck”). Expected on hand soon are Brad Pitt (will Zahara let him come?), Kenneth Branaugh (where’s he been?), and Tim Burton. Tim is going to be accepting some Lifetime Achievement Award. I think the real award should be given after he makes sure that the seed he planted in Helena Bonham Carter’s fertile valley doesn’t turn into Demogorgon. *sigh* I really want to go to Venice. Do we have any Venician readers? Can they put my ass up? And pay for my airfare? And de-smell the city? I heard it smells bad.

Many more photos of Keira Knightley (plus some of her on the gondola) at the Venice Film Festival after the jump.
