In a recently released video, Lindsay Lohan’s father speaks out about his daughter’s latest legal troubles - placing blame on everyone but himself. Possibly being paid to talk in front of the camera (fitting his personality), Michael Lohan spent most of the time attacking his ex-wife Dina Lohan, saying that she should join Lindsay for an extended stay in rehab.

“The people out there (in Hollywood) with her are in it for the money. They want to see what they can get,” Michael claimed, adding, “She needs to go (to rehab) and my ex-wife should go with her.”

"I believe the people my daughter is hanging around with are the wrong people,” Michael pointed out, shifting the focus to another possible culprit in the corruption of his daughter.

“Lindsay has to find hope in God and put her family first, not listen to what other people say, and listen to her heart,” he added.

The problem here is that Michael hasn’t even seen Lindsay or his three other children in the two years since his divorce from their mother, who also manages Lindsay’s ever-so lucrative career.

Adamant to get his fingers back in the family cookie jar, Papa Lohan has gone as far as accusing his ex-wife of being one of the “people who have built walls between Lindsay and me because they know how close we are. Maybe if Dina would tear down the wall of division in our family, maybe then we could come together and show Lindsay how both parents can help. I made some mistakes but I righted my mistakes and that’s what Dina and everyone else has to do.”

Coming from a man who just finished serving jail time for his own litany of DUIs - his words seem to lose a little value.
