I kid, I kid! She’s flawless. Look at those rings! Butterrffflllyyyyy. Here’s Mimi wafting in the breeze at the VH-1 Save The Music fundraiser that was held last night. There were performances by John Mayer, Jon Bon Jovi and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd. Word is Mayer stole the show. People were probably dazzled by the grease shining in the lights. Damn. What’s on his face? Why are the men in Hollywood trying to look like Zac Efron lately?
The speeches were all passionate, but the performances between them drove the point home. John Mayer delivered a succinct plea before playing: “I just want to say to anyone who considers themselves in the music industry and is frightened by the future and looking into new media, don’t. It’s called old media and it’s been around for a hundred years. It’s called putting instruments into the hands of young people.” That said, he broke into a gorgeous — and inspiring, judging by the crowd’s reaction — rendition of “Waiting on the World to Change” with the Save the Music Student Orchestra providing backup.
Mimi didn’t perform but she did give a workout demonstration on a stairmaster in high heels. Jesus, I love that footage.
