Yeah, I know, it’s some serious breaking news. When Mariah Carey hit the stage to accept her award at the VH1 Save the Music Foundation Thursday in the Lincoln Center, girlfriend looked fierce. Seriously, this woman is wearing the hell out of this purple dress. I have to say that I’m impressed. As we all know, Mariah’s got a bit of a tendency to dress like a slutty twelve-year old girl but this ensemble is sexy, yet appropriate. However, it sounds like Mariah had a lot of help that evening in order to maintain the appearance of perfection. The New York Daily News reveals that it took a small army of assistants to make sure Ms. Carey looked as fabulous as she did.

Her nine assistants performed a ballet of maintenance on the teetering diva all night, keeping her flawless. One handmaiden was solely responsible for dispensing breast tape. Another wore a belt with brushes and hair spray to the dinner; a third brought portable hot rollers.

Whatever she’s paying them, they’re worth every penny because DAMN, she looks fantastic–even though I know she probably didn’t stop sucking in her stomach until she was on the way home in her limo. Promotions for everyone!
