She just LOVES being the hero, doesn’t she? I love that I’m totally acting as if Hayden Panettiere helping out Masi Oka from some possible embarrassment on the red carpet somehow steals my thunder. Recently, Hayden noticed that Masi was sporting some interesting love bites on his person that might raise some eyebrows and intervened before any awkward questions could be raised. From People:

“I remember one day we went to this premiere and I didn’t realise it was a press event and they were taking pictures and Hayden came up to me and said ‘Masi, you have a hickey! We have to cover you up!’ And I was like, ‘Whoa. I didn’t know that.’ “Hayden always takes care of all of us.”

Whew! That could have been mighty awkward! Well, not really, but still, it was nice of Hayden to help out when really, if Masi’s anything like me, (which I’m pretending that he is for this particular situation) he probably would have been perfectly content to go, “Oh this? That’s what happens when you have MAD GAME like I do. True player, for real.” Really. I talk like that.
