Despite reports that the Spice Girls were in the process of working on a song to release at Christmas, it's now being reported that Mel C. is acting a fool and not cooperating. Listen - this is another shot at keeping your name out there, lady. Without this, you're just gonna be doing the British gay party circuit for the rest of your life. You're not Kylie Minogue. The 33-year-old has insisted that she has no plans to reunite with the girls and is concentrating on her solo career.

The girls have been spotted together a number of times in the last few months, fuelling speculation that a reunion may be on the cards but in an interview with OK magazine Melanie insists that if it does go ahead, it may be without her:

"I don't want to be the spoilsport, no pun intended, but if the other four do it then I think I'll be in a dilemma. I don't want to be the person that stops it from being the complete set, but in my heart of hearts it's not something I want to do."

Apparently she's had a couple of successful albums in Britain. And I hate to confess this, but some years back I had one of her solo songs on a gym mix. Yeah, I go to the gym - it isn't all Twinkies and ice cream ya know! I need to tone this doughy Irish flesh! Ugh, it's way too early for "doughy Irish flesh", my bad.
