Mischa Barton suffered a reported scare on Sunday (May 27), being rushed to a hospital after having an adverse reaction to a prescription medication.

The Sun has reported that the 21-year-old actress, whose claim to fame began with hit TV show ‘The OC’, began to feel ill while attending a pal’s Memorial Day BBQ in Los Angeles.

According to sources near to the situation, “Friends reportedly called emergency services after Barton complained of feeling ill at the party. She was later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. “

Fortunately, it was nothing too serious, as Mischa was “released from the hospital about five hours later, after being advised to rest.” A Barton rep has since said that she is now “feeling much better”.
