Various sources from Nelly Furtado’s inner circle have revealed that the pop star is engaged. Furtado met Demo, a sound engineer for producer Timbaland, while working with the hip-hop producer and his team on her album, “Loose.” Nelly and her former flame, Jasper Gahunia, have a 3-year-old daughter together, however, this will be the first marriage for the singer of Portuguese descent. The news comes after Nelly’s performance over the weekend in London at the Concert for Diana, and before her July 14th gig in Paris for Bastille Day under the city’s famed Eiffel Tower.

Tis the season for babies and weddin’s, I suppose. Well, I am happy for Nelly. She seems like a sensible girl and the fact that she’s become involved with a guy working behind-the-scenes appears to be a good sign. Shit, after all that K-Fed nonsense, I’m just happy he’s got a job.
