Nick Lachey allegedly pulled the plug on Fox News on July 10 when they dared to ask him about those pics of him railing the snot out of his girlfriend in the hot tub. I’ve seen those pics. They’re actually pretty tame. I did like his “determined to bring her to completion” face. He looks like he’s concentrating really hard. Like it’s math, or his car is stuck in a snowbank. Nick was being interviewed, and when they brought up Vanessa - the screen went to color bars as it would in a national emergency.

“There was no technical problem,” a rep for Fox 5 tells Us. “Even the biggest divas in the business don’t pull the plug on live interviews - it was a bizarre reaction to a simple question.”

But if Fox is to be believed, could Lachey (or his handlers) really have pulled the plug?

Yes, says a veteran news producer: “You just push a button.”

Lachey’s rep denied it. A rep for another talk show claimed that they were asked specifically not to ask about the pictures. Well, what the hell else are you going to ask this dullard about? His music career? Ok, you choose. Would you want to talk about A) his sappy ballads or B) the photographic evidence of his sex life with his knife-happy slut of a girlfriend? Which do you want to talk about?
