Nicolas Cage woke up Monday morning in his home in Newport Beach to find that he had an unwanted guest in the house. As if poor Nic didn’t have enough troubles, what with his crazy hair and general strangeness to deal with, he’s also now got nutjobs breaking into his house and trying to snag his stuff while he sleeps. According to E! News, Robert Furo Jr., the man in question somehow got into the house without using forced entry, and was handed over to police by Cage at 1:30 in the morning. Furo went quietly and has pleaded not guilty to the charge of felony burglary yesterday, and is awaiting his pretrial hearing on Oct. 10th behind bars. During the course of the incident, Nic’s wife and son remained asleep in their home. I have a feeling that Nic’s already something of a high-strung, paranoid guy as it is and I’m sure this isn’t going to help his psyche one bit.
