Now that Paris Hilton’s court dates and jail time have come and gone, the next one in line to watch is Nicole Richie, who is currently in the midst of dealing with the consequences of her arrest in December of last year, when “The Simple Life” star was found driving on the wrong side of the freeway. I must admit that I’m kind of confused as to what I’m even reporting on at the moment, but from what I understand, Nicole was asking for a continuance, it was denied, but she still won’t be in court today. Instead, lawyers from both sides will continue proceedings, with Nicole’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holey, to act on her behalf. All I know is that in these pictures, her boyfriend was trying to be helpful and cover up her face from the paparazzi, but personally, I’d be annoyed at the message it was sending me, if I were Nicole, because I tend to read into things like that. I’d be all, “This is interesting. Is this because you have a subconscious desire to smother me in my sleep? You bastard!” My boyfriend is so lucky to have me. I hope her recognizes me for the gift that I am.
