Us Weekly is reporting that numerous sources have confirmed to the magazine that Nicole Richie is in fact over twelve weeks pregnant with the child of boyfriend Joel Madden. The mag reports that a positive pregnancy test in early May had Nicole spilling the beans to her mother and to her close circle of friends, including Mischa Barton. In addition to the news that Nicole is going to be a mother, it sounds like she’s also going to be enjoying a shotgun wedding to her “Good Charlotte” boyfriend before too long.

“She is extremely excited right now,” a source close to the star tells Us.

And she’s got the blessing of Joel’s twin brother, Josh.

And the twins’ older brother Josh Madden tells Us, “Nicole is awesome. I would love for them to get married!”

Both families are thrilled about the couple’s baby joy: “Everyone’s happy, everyone’s good, everyone’s getting along” a source tells Us.

It’s all fun and games until somebody has a baby in jail. MWAHAHAHAHA! I’m just kidding, I’m not laughing at anyone’s potential misfortune. It’s just that I think I may have read too much gossip and am now completely desensitized to feeling anything for the people I’m writing about. And I rather like it that way.
