ASL recently took it to the bridge in Vegas, to attend VH1's second annual "VH1 Rock Honors" awards show at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Events Center. Basically, the show honored classic rock bands, including Genesis, Heart, ZZ Top and Ozzy Osbourne, with original performances by those bands, as well as tributes made by those influenced by them. It was pretty much a combo concert and awards show, including performances made by Alice in Chains, Queens of the Stone Age, Keane, Nickelback and Gretchen Wilson. Twas hosted by Bam Margera (of "Jackass" and "Viva La Bam"), who at one point punched his own eye, hoping to honor Ozzy's infamous biting of a bat by inflicting a black eye upon himself. Oh, honey. Aren't you thirty yet? Anywho...

The honorees received these massive rings about the size of what I imagine Superbowl rings are, and the presenters of the rings included Jada Pinkett-Smith, Cameron Diaz, Robin Williams and Billy Bob Thornton. Criss Angel also made a little something special for the Osbournes, as he presented them with a personal tribute of his own off-stage. In addition to these photos we snagged while in the "special press room," (AKA not the room where the big boys like "Extra" and "Access Hollywood" got to play, but whatevs), we also have some great video footage coming up for you guys in the very near future.
