Paris Hilton’s Cell Mate Chosen, Staff Warned

With Paris Hilton soon heading off to do her 23 days behind bars, the jail is forced to take certain precautions for when the heiress arrives.

Contrary to jail spokesman Steve Whitman’s initial comments, Paris will indeed be given special treatment in jail - in the fact that she will be separated from the general population of fellow convicts and will have only one cell mate. TMZ is now reporting that her new cell mate has already been chosen - not randomly, but hand selected.

Apparently, the winner of the Paris Hilton jailmate sweepstakes is currently serving time for reckless driving, with the report adding that jailers were “looking for someone who they believe will not try to cash in on Hilton’s stay. The woman is already in the cell that Paris will be in … waiting for a touch of Hilton.”

Another area of concern is that jail visitors, employees, etc will try to get pictures and video of ‘The Simple Life’ star in her prison garb. Just think about how much those would sell for! Anyways, TMZ cites sources that claim that jailers are “already conducting searches of anything electronic - they are prohibiting cameras, cell phones and the like.”

In a further attempt to dissuade lowly paid prison guards from trying to cash in on their exclusive access to the socialite, a memo has been sent out to the staff, warning them that anyone who takes pictures of Paris will be disciplined - most likely resulting in the loss of their job.

Still, you’ve gotta believe that at least one of the adult babysitters will forgo their post and measly pay for the chance at a big payday - right?
