Paris Asks The Terminator For A Pardon

Paris Hilton is starting to get desperate. No longer leaving her impending jail term solely in the hands of her legal team, the hotel heiress has started a little grass roots campaign.

The New York Post reports that on her MySpace page, Paris wrote: “My friend Joshua started this petition, please help and sihn it. i LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!” While Paris needs to work on her spelling, the point was made.

The petition, which is directed to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (aka The Terminator), pleas for a pardon for Paris from her 45 day jail sentence. Not fully banking on Schwarzenegger, an appeal has been filed as well.

Meanwhile, Paris continued to try and garner more support, writing: “I urge all fans and supporters and all that are outraged by injustice to sign this petition.”

According to People magazine, “The petition, which had more than 900 signatures by Tuesday morning, urges the California actor-turned-governor to pardon Hilton because she provides ‘beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives.’”

The Governor’s office is handling the matter as could be expected, stating: “We’ll treat this as we would any other case of this nature, but it would be premature for the governor to get involved until the individual has exhausted his or her judicial remedies.”

While we wait for more on this developing story, enjoy the pictures of Paris out and about the past few days!
