Paris Hilton Gets No Love from Patty Hearst

In times of trial, it’s comforting to have the counsel of someone who’s been in your shoes and survived.  I think that’s what Paris Hilton was hoping for in Patty Hearst.  But unfortunately, Patty seems to have said no to the hotel heiress.

Patty did time in the mid-’70s after she was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army, and then caught on camera robbing a bank with them. After serving two years in the slammer, Hearst’s sentence was commuted by then-President Jimmy Carter. She later received a pardon from Bill Clinton.

But that’s not going to help Miss Hilton.  Hearst is denying Hilton the benefit of her experience.  In a letter to TMZ, The 52-year-old said that like Arnold Schwarzenegger, she has better things to deal with than to think of the ‘House of Wax’ star and her prison sentence.

“I can assure you that I have not had any contact with Paris (or any member of her family) regarding her upcoming jail time, or any other matter. Like Governor Schwarzenegger, I have had many more important things to think about,” the site quotes.

She also commented that she feels sorry for the inmates of the prison that Paris will occupy.  “However, since I’m thinking about it now, I must say that my heart goes out to the inmates of the Century Regional Detention Center. Forty-five days with Paris Hilton and the attendant publicity seems like cruel and unusual punishment to me. Perhaps they should be petitioning the Governor for relief,” she said.
