NBC Goes, “What Paris Deal?”

NBC is claiming that the rumor that Paris Hilton is to be paid one million dollars for a post-jail, sit-down interview with Meredith Vieira is bogus. The source that had supposedly revealed this information to The Hollywood Reporter said that the one million dollar offer made by NBC was an offer that was “in a completely different galaxy” than the one made by ABC News, estimated to be between $50,000-$100,000. However, NBC is saying that no such agreement has been made, and Paris’ rep is saying:
“Paris Hilton is not being paid for any television interview,” the spokesman said. “Nor is Paris being paid for any collateral, including video and photographs related to any television interview.”
I certainly hope she isn’t making that kind of money, because it would simply depress my envious, self-serving little brain. Unless, it means that the fee that one can charge as a “Paris Hilton expert” goes up accordingly. Then, I’m all for it because that is the latest bullet point that I’ve been able to add to the skills section on my resume.
