If Patrick Dempsey Were a More Punctual Individual…

…then perhaps the whole “Grey’s Anatomy” blow-out between him and Isaiah Washington never would have happened, according to Isaiah. During his interview on Larry King Live, Isaiah said that it was this second time that Dempsey arrived late to shoot a scene that was the final straw for him and ultimately caused him to lose his temper. Patrick insisted on waiting for Ellen Pompeo to arrive before shooting and evoked the following response from Washington.
“I said I don’t need Ellen, I can act,” Washington told King. “And that was the moment that sent it into a different zone.”
According to Washington, Dempsey erupted. “He became unhinged, sprayed spittle in my face,” said Washington, in his first television interview about the controversy. “I’m asking him why is he screaming at me. … He just becomes irate.”
Blah, blah, blah, Washington also gets angry, the F-bomb gets hurled at Dempsey. Isaiah says I’m not homophobic and we’ve heard this all before. OMG, I’m so over this whole episode. This is worse than watching JKF assassination footage over and over and over again.
