On the cover of the September issue of Lucky magazine, which set to hit newsstands August 7th, is Sarah Michelle Gellar. The actress, who is starring in the upcoming thriller “Addicted” also dedicate her time to humanitarian causes, volunteering for CARE, an organization committed to empowering women in third-world countries.

However, the cause nearest and dearest to her heart is her marriage to Freddie Prinze Jr.–even more so than her acting career. Gellar revealed that she turned down a role in Stardust, because the film was being shot overseas, while her hubby was working in the U.S.

She explains, “I turned it down because it was Freddie’s turn in New York. I would have loved to have done it - are you kidding? But it was Freddie’s turn.”
