We Are So The Bane of Sean Penn’s Existence

Sheesh, Sean. Have a drink, smoke a joint–or something. Just friggin’ relax, dude. At the Los Angeles premiere at the Director’s Guild for Penn’s film, “Into the Wild,” which he wrote and directed, Sean spoke only when spoken to and kept his answers brief and seemed pained to be promoting his film. “Into the Wild” is based on the true story of Chris McCandless, who graduated from college and left a life of comfort behind him to travel aimlessly for two years, before finding his way to the Alaskan wilderness. McCandless’ story was told in the book by Jon Krakauer, upon which the screenplay was based.
“This movie is what I’ve wanted to say for a long time,” a soft-spoken Penn told the DGA audience, before thanking Krakauer and the McCandless family, who were in the audience.
Which leads me to believe that the film is just a series of shots of Penn telling the media to “Fuck off!” Just kidding! I hear it’s actually a really good film. I just think Sean might need a foot massage or something, though, for real–just to loosen up a bit.
