Having had just finished a Netflixed run of the “Six Feet Under” in its entirety, I’m still having to adjust to the idea that Michael C. Hall is well into his new role as the lead in the popular Showtime series, “Dexter.” Hall portrays the character of eerie, yet charming Dexter Morgan, blood spatter expert for the police department with a penchant for murder. And with Emmy nominations right around the corner, the Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Hall is a strong contender for a nod this year.

David Duchovny is capitalizing on the critical acclaim of such Showtime gems as “Dexter,” and “Weeds,” with his upcoming Showtime series, “Californication.” And while at TCA promoting his upcoming show, Duchovny also lent credence to the rumors buzzing around Hollywood that there is a second “X-Files” movie in the works, according to E! News Online.

“I’m supposed to see a script next week,” he said during a session promoting his new Showtime show, Californication. “I’m actually supposed to see it next week. Before I would just say that because they told me.”

Well, if “Californication” is anywhere near as good as its lead-in, “Weeds,” then I’m going to have to make sure to catch it. About a year and a half from now, when it’s on Netflix. Because that’s how I roll, at least a year and a half behind the times.
